Dinosaur Fossil Discovered in Jiangxi

A paleontologic fossil was discovered May 10 in a remote mountainous area in Fanda Township, Dexing, Jiangxi Province. According to expert analysis, the lines in the fossil strongly resemble a pterodactyl skeleton and it appears to be of the paleontologic dinosaur family.

Dexing's museum does hold a rare dinosaur egg fossil, but has no record of owning a dinosaur fossil. Once the identity of the fossil is confirmed, it will be the basis of establishing dinosaur movement in this area 8,000 years ago.

The fossil photo has been sent to relevant departments for further examination.
