China's Philharmonic Orchestra will hold a series of concerts starting this Wednesday at the Beijing Poly Theatre to celebrate their 5th birthday.

Several renowned conductors, all at their seventies and eighties, will take part in these concerts. Lang Lang, a world-famous pianist, will also be on the stage.

They will present works from Beethoven, Dovrak, Verdi and Smetana, and also the music from the Chinese classic ballet Red Detachment of Woman.
