Monk From Shaolin Monastry to Debut in Beijing

Beijing audiences will have a chance to see a special Kung Fu dance drama titled Monk from the Shaolin Monastery, late this month at the Baoli Theater.

Titled Monk from the Shaolin Monastery, the dance drama tells the legendary story of a monk who is a Chinese Kung Fu master. Audiences will not only be entertained by a poetic love story and grand war scenes but can also enjoy genuine Chinese Kung Fu performances within the show.

The dance drama by the Henan-based Zhenzhou Singing and Dance Troop comes at a cost of some 20 million yuan, or close to US$2.5 million, and includes over 100 performers.
