Free Wednesday Admission to Beijing's Museums

Art-lovers in Beijing can rejoice now that 13 museums, including the first-class Beijing Capital Museum, will now admit 200 visitors for free every Wednesday.

Visitors simply need to call the museums in advance and the lucky first 200 callers will receive free admission.

Apart from the Beijing Capital Museum, other participating institutions include the Memorial Hall to Painter Xu Beihong, the Big Bell Museum, Beijing Art Museum, The Culture Exchange Center, Beijing Ancient Coin Museum, Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum, Memorial Hall to Writer Lao She, the Zhengyangmen Gate, Dajue Monastery, Beijing Miaoying Monastery, Confucius Academy and Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum.

This is the second discount museums have offered the public this month, after 18 parks and museums announced they were canceling ticket admission and letting visitors in for free.
