Cartier to Showcase Collection in Shanghai

The name Cartier is synonymous with quality and style, and the brand is world renowned for its fine jewelry and wristwatches. Now Shanghai residents have an opportunity to view some of the company's rarely-seen creations through a Cartier exhibition in May.

Cartier started as a brand in the mid 19th century, and has since built itself into a company whose name is recognized all over the world. Loyal clients range from celebrities to kings and queens. English royalty has hailed Cartier as "Jeweler to Kings, King of Jewelers."

An upcoming exhibition in Shanghai will feature more than 300 pieces from the Cartier family's personal collection. The show will include jewelry, wristwatches and accessories. The centerpiece will be a huge necklace originally designed for an Indian King from 1928.

Jewelry incorporating animals are something Cartier's designers are famous for, and exhibits like a leopard brooch and tiger glasses will be included in the show.
