Li Yundi to Play in Macao

Li Yundi tells an interview that he will play with Macao Orchestra on Friday, September 14, 2007.

Li Yundi, the young Chinese Warsaw International Chopin competition winner, will play in Macao on Friday night.

This is the first time the young pianist will cooperate with Macao Orchestra.

According to Xinhua News, the concert will also mark the opening of a new music season.

Li Yundi won first prize at the prestigious International Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 2000 when he was just 18. Now at 25, he is the youngest person ever to take such a top honor.
