The Guangzhou Hong Kong Macao ACG Expo opened on Wednesday in Guangzhou city, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province.

This Anime, Comics and Games (ACG) Expo is said to be inspired by Ani-Com in Hong Kong.

The four-day-long event is the first international ACG fair authorized by the Ministry of Commerce in China, as reported by Guangzhou-based newspaper Information Times on Thursday.

The event's official website says the Expo is supported by industry leaders from China, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea.

Hundreds of thousands of ACG fans visited the fair on its first day. They were joined by some famous cartoonists.

The report said pop singers will also attend during the next two days.
