Singer Zhang Xuan chills out in Beijing
Adjust font size:

With a bottle of beer and casually plunking a guitar, Taiwan singer-songwriter Zhang Xuan debuted in front of Beijing media on Tuesday.

Zhang Xuan was in Beijing promoting her second studio album, Darling, I'm Not Sure.

The show, held at Beijing's popular music venue of Mao Livehouse, was limited to only 50 fans, who were selected by the organizer from a pool of 4,000 submissions.

Zhang Xuan, first time performing in the city, opened the relaxing night with Like, a song from her new album. She said the song spoke of her feelings towards Beijing.

The singer also did a couple of her well-known hits and covered rock band Nirvana.

Known to her fans as Desert, Zhang Xuan secured a large fan base from her earlier years as a pub singer.

Her first album, My Life Will... debuted last year with huge success.
