Beyond's members to reunite for Beijing concert
Adjust font size:

Two members of the now defunct legendary Hong Kong band Beyond are planning to revive the "Glorious Years" for Beijing fans.

The rock band's classics, such as "Glorious Years" and "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies," are likely to be heard on February 1 and 2 at the Workers' Indoor Arena, as former band members Paul Wong and Yip Sai Wing lead their own bands in performing Beyond's best-known hits.

This will be Wong and Yip's first on-stage reunion since Beyond broke up in 2005.

Mainland rock band Hei Bao will be the guest performer at the two shows.

However, no tickets to the concerts are being sold. The organizer is hoping to use Beyond's power to launch a membership scheme, in which fans must buy membership cards for a series of concerts instead of buying individual tickets. The concert series also will include shows by Chyi Chin and Jolin Tsai.
