Flood Peak Passes Wuzhou

The flood peak of Xijiang River passed Wuzhou in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Sunday morning.

By 9:00 am Sunday, the water level at Wuzhou station of Xijiang River was down to 22.44 meters.

According to the local flood and drought control headquarters, the flood peak passed Guiping, Pingnan and Wuzhou with dangerous state, however there was no casualty reported thanks to the emergency measures adopted in time.

Floods has hit Guangxi since July 18, affecting 3.9 million people in 56 counties. So far, the floods has left 24 people dead, 4,210 houses collapsed and 160,000 hectares of crops affected
