Snowstorm to Hit Tibet in Three Days

In the next two or three days, snowy weather will hit some northwest areas of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and parts of the Tibet Autonomous Region will experience a snowstorm.

 

The Chinese Central Meteorological Station made the forecast Monday.

 

According to the weather forecast, 0.1 to 0.3 centimeters of light snow or sleet will fall in most of Tibet, and the middle and southern parts of Qinghai Province, some parts of northwestern China, Sichuan Province and the northwest part of Yunnan Province in the next few days.

 

Snow will be more than 1 centimeter deep in some parts of Tibet, the station said.

 

Air temperatures in those regions will drop 4 to 8 degrees centigrade after the passage of the cold front, and there will be strong winds.
