Jumbo whale framework to wow visitors

Guangdong Museum will open a new exhibition hall in the city's financial hub Zhujiang Xincheng later in 2008 and will put on display many large animal skeletons including that of a 20 meters long baleen whale.

The local Information Times reported that as an extension to the original museum the hall has collected over 50,000 items for exhibit.

The hall will also present specimen of giant marine life such as sperm whale and mako shark to visitors, the report said.

Chen Shaofeng, a researcher in the museum, introduced that the hall has three major themes respectively on history & culture, arts and nature.
