Barhu Grassland After Snowstorm
Adjust font size:
The photo shows that a flock of sheep hunt for food on the vast Barhu Grassland of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on March 28.

The area has been frequently hit by snowstorms recently, with the average depth reaching 50 cm. Lots of animals have died, creating a desperate situation for the herders who depend on them for a living.

Local government and military forces have poured large manpower and material resources into the area to help relieve the disaster.
