No More New Confirmed Case of SARS in HK Friday
With no more new confirmed case of SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) found in Hong Kong Friday, such has brought to the fifth time that Hong Kong has recorded zero infection, said a press release issued by the Hong Kong government Friday.

It is also the 29th consecutive day on which the number of cases has fallen below five -- since May 16, said the press release.

The number of patients who have recovered and been discharged from hospital continues to rise to 1,380, and of them, three were discharged Friday, it said.

Twenty-eight are recovering patients in convalescence and in preparation for discharge, it said.

At the moment, the number of SARS patients in intensive care unit now only stands 15, and such cases are part of the 54 cases currently under treatment in hospitals, it said.

"Most of the patients are showing positive responses to the treatment protocol," it said.
