Hong Kong star Jackie Cheung is planning to adapt the film Perhaps Love into a musical. 

The veteran singer and actor said that the music and dance scenes in the film by director Peter Chan would be easy to translate for stage.

Cheung, who starred in Perhaps Love as one of the leading actors, believes that the film should be adapted with respect to the development of the story.

Though this will be his first time as a director, Cheung is confident, saying that he has gained a lot of experience from his sold-out musical Snow, Wolf, Lake.

Perhaps Love is bidding for a nomination of the 78th Academy Awards and will premiere in China on December 2nd.
