Internationally-acclaimed director John Woo's 80-million-US-dollars war epic "The Battle of the Red Cliff" is now shooting. Public attention on the movie has been high.

A series of photos featuring its female lead, Taiwan super model Lin Chi-ling, were released recently. The famed beauty plays Xiao Qiao, a renowned beauty in the Three Kingdoms period. Her appearance is considered very graceful, fully displaying the character of eastern beauty.

Academy Award winner Tim Yip is in charge of art directing this time. Lin Chi-ling says she is very satisfied with her appearance in the movie.

John Woo has assembled a stellar cast for the work, including Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Vicki Zhao Wei.
