Top Artists Perform in Lhasa to Mark Anniversary of Tibet

A group of top artists attached to the visiting central delegation put music, songs, dances and other art performances on stage in Lhasa Wednesday, to mark the 40th founding anniversary of the Tibet Autonomous Region.

The evening party is entitled "March towards Prosperity".

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Political Bureau, watched the performances, together with other members of the central delegation he led to attend anniversary celebrations in Tibet.

The artists come from different ethnic groups of China and comprise top artists from other parts of the country.

Over the past few days, these artists staged performances in some other cities of Tibet.
