Li Stresses Construction of Children's and Youth's Palaces

A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Sunday stresses to enhance the construction of Children's and Youth's Palaces nationwide for the young people's healthier growth and full-fledged development.

Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when he visited an exhibition featuring the development of China's Children's and Youth's Palaces.

The palaces are important venues of moral education and knowledge learning for the youngsters across the country, Li said.

He said that the children's palaces should integrate their activities with in-campus education and increase their attractiveness for the young people.

The exhibition, sponsored by 10 departments including the Department of Publicity of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Education, showed the development of Children's and Youth's Palaces nationwide during the past half century.
