China Publicizes Deeds of Dedicated Judge

Senior Chinese leader Luo Gan Wednesday called on China's judicial staff to learn from Jin Guilan, a dedicated woman judge, and better perform their duties.

"Comrade Jin Guilan is an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China and an outstanding judge of the new era. People's Courts of various levels should launch activities to learn from Comrade Jin Guilan," said Luo, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

Luo, who is also secretary of the Committee of Political Science and Law under the CPC Central Committee, met with Jin and a group giving lectures on her deeds Wednesday in Beijing.

Luo called on CPC members and the judicial staff to forever maintain their vanguard character, always putting the interests of the people first and improve their capabilities in resolving contradictions, enforcing law and safeguarding social justice.

He ordered the judicial sector to comprehensively improve their work and quality of the judicial staff to ensure stability of the overall social and political situation during China's strategic opportunity period.

More than 700 people listened to the lectures held in an auditorium of the Great Hall of the People Wednesday.
