China's Ministry of Agriculture on Wednesday confirmed one more bird flu outbreak in Xinyuan County of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The ministry said in a statement that 300 fowls died on November 24 in Xinyuan and they were confirmed by a state avian flu lab Wednesday as the H5N1 subtype highly pathogenic bird flu cases.

The Ministry and local government are handling the outbreak in accordance with the emergency plans. Local veterinary departments have killed 118,153 poultry within three kilometers of the affected area.
