Official Calls for Severe Punishment of Evil Forces & 'Falun Gong'
Luo Gan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and State councilor, lately urged governments at all levels to strengthen the "Strike-hard" Campaign and improve the social security environment for the 16th CPC National Congress to be held later this year.

Luo said, to maintain social security, education and supervision is the basis and comprehensive improvement of social order is the key. Only by doing these can we solidify the results of the "Strike-hard" Campaign and ensure social stability. The CPC committees and governments at all levels must simultaneously continue the "Strike-hard" Campaign and tackle the tasks of rectification and taking precautionary measures to ensure comprehensive improvement of social order, thus to establish an effective system for maintaining social security.

Luo also emphasized that because the 16th CPC National Congress is to take place later this year, Party committees, governments and political-legal departments at all levels must go all out to do all fields of work well, especially that of social stability. We must take strict precautions against and relentlessly crack down on the infiltration and sabotage activities organized by the forces of terrorism, national secessionism, religious extremism, and internal and external antagonistic forces and "Falun Gong" cult. In addition, under the new situation, we must correctly handle contradictions among the people and solve the contradictions and problems at the grass roots, so as to ensure social stability.
