Hu Urges CPC Cadres to Carry out Congress Spirit
Chinese Communist Party leader Hu Jintao Tuesday called on Party cadres to take the lead in studying the important theory of Three Represents and the spirit of the Party's 16th National Congress.

Hu, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said Party cadres, especially high-ranking ones, should also be bold in thinking, pioneering and carrying out the theory and spirit in practice.

He made the remarks at the closing ceremony of a seminar for those elected as first-time members and alternate members of the Party's Central Committee late last year.

It was quite natural for the Party to take development as its top priority in governing the country, said Hu.

He called on cadres to work wholeheartedly in the public interest, and help people in need.

Among those attending the ceremony were Zeng Qinghong, Li Changchun, Luo Gan and Wu Guanzheng. They are members of the 9-seat Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
