Sylvia Takes the Lead of France Culture Year

During the National Day holiday of China in October, China's National Ballet together with Paris Opéra Ballet will stage the world-renowned ballet Sylvia at the Centennial Hall of Peking University.

The event is also the opening of the year's major cultural gala, "France Culture Year" in China.

This is the second time the National Ballet of China has performed in exchange activities between China and France, following the successful performance of the ballet Raise The Red Lantern in France last November.

Sylvia is the masterpiece of Leo Delibes of the 19th century and made its debut in Paris in 1876.
