Chinese, ROK Political Parties to Increase Exchanges

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said in Beijing Thursday the Communist Party of China (CPC) places great importance on strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the Uri Party and other political parties of the Republic of Korea (ROK).

This will push forward bilateral relations along the tracks of healthy, stable and extensive development, said Jia when meeting with Kim Boo-kyum, member of the National Assembly of ROK, in the Great Hall of the People.

Jia, also member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said the two countries are witnessing stronger political trust, fast-growing trade, vigorous cultural exchanges and ever deepening friendship between the two peoples.

The heads of state of the two countries have set the direction of bilateral relations by forming an all-round cooperative partnership between the two countries, he said.

Jia said China will work with ROK to promote all-round development of bilateral relations and make contributions to peace, stability and prosperity in Asia.

Kim is heading a delegation of Uri Party members of the ROK parliament at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC.

Kim said the friendly communications between the Uri Party and the CPC will definitely help push forward the development of ROK-China relations.
