Chinese, Brazilian FMs Have Phone Conversation

Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing talked over phone with his Brazilian counterpart Celso Amorim Tuesday, a press release from the Foreign Ministry said.

The two foreign ministers agreed that the meeting between President Hu Jintao and Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva in Gleneagles was fruitful.

They also agreed that the two countries will join efforts to implement the important concerns reached by the two heads of state and to promote the development of bilateral strategic partnership, the press release said.

They also exchanged views on other issues of common concern, the press release said without elaborating.

Amorim is currently in northeast China attending the World Trade Organization Informal Ministerial Meeting in the port city of Dalian.
