Adjust font size:

Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong met in Beijing Tuesday with a visiting Japanese young leader delegation headed by Anami Koreshige, an ambassador from the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

Zeng spoke positively on the current growth of the China-Japan relations, noting that the intensified high-level exchange that took place recently helped increase the mutual political trust and boost the bilateral cooperation in various fields.

He encouraged the young leaders of the two countries to contribute their efforts to promoting the bilateral ties "on a right track".

Zeng noted that the visit by the Japanese delegation, an important part of a program for exchanging visits, will play a significant role in promoting the friendship between the two countries.

"The exchange of visits helped the young generations of the two countries expand mutual understanding and foster the friendship", Zeng said, highlighting the visits between the young leaders of the two countries bore historical and strategic significance to the China-Japan friendship passing through generations.

Anami, who was also a former Japanese ambassador to China, said that China already made remarkable achievements in the economic and social construction, pledging the members of the delegation would make their utmost efforts to improve the friendly ties and push forward the bilateral cooperation.

The Japanese guests are visiting China at the invitation of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.
