Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder of the Federal Republic of Germany arrived in Beijing Sunday afternoon, kicking off a three-day working visit to China as guest of Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji.
During the visit, Chinese leaders will exchange views with Schroeder on bilateral relations and major international issues of common interest.
Schroeder is also scheduled to visit China's business hub Shanghai.
This is Schroeder's fourth visit to China.
