Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder of the Federal Republic of Germany wound up his three-day visit to China and left Shanghai by special plane on Tuesday.
Before his departure from Shanghai, the German chancellor bid good-bye to Premier Zhu Rongji amid a cordial atmosphere at the Shanghai International Media Center, and Shanghai Vice-Mayor Zhou Muyao went to see Schroeder off at the airport.
