An international tourism and cultural festival is to be held from Oct 26-28 in Huangshan, a noted scenic city in east China's Anhui province renowned for Mount Huangshan and typical local culture.

Huangshan aims to boost its image overseas, attract more tourists, especially those from Europe and America, and fuel locale economy and trade by hosting the festival, which is at the sponsorship of the National Tourism Administration and the Anhui provincial government.

Twelve types of activities, including folklore performances, art shows, an outdoor evening gala, seminars on local tourism development, and trade fairs, will be held during the festival.
