Tang Meilin from Heyuan City in Guangdong laughs heartily as she receives gifts of school books and accessories from Grade 2 Class 4 pupils from the Shenzhen Experimental Primary School on Sunday. The pupils will help Tang to complete her studies.

Tang was among some 100 Heyuan students who came to Shenzhen to meet with their sponsors over the weekend. Shenzhen residents donated money and gifts to help a total of 140 Heyuan children continue their studies in this year's campaign to help poor students in Heyuan.
