Chongqing inaugurates new bridge

Thousands of onlookers flock onto the Caiyuanba Bridge over the Yangtze River as the bridge opens to traffic in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, October 29, 2007. The bridge, which cost 2 billion yuan (US$258 million) and nearly four years to build, is a structural blend of tunnels and flyovers with a unique arch and cable structure. The distance between two tall steel piers is 420m.
