China's telecommunication industry Revenue has surpassed Japan to rank second in the world. 

Statistics from China's Ministry of Information Industry shows that revenue from the country's telecommunication industry reached US$220 billion last year, surpassing Japan to rank second in the world.

China tops the list of phone and cell phone users in the world, with its subscribers totaling some 240 million.

The country's netizen population also ranks the third in the world.

The United States still dominates the global telecommunication industry.
