Patrol Boat to Safeguard Shichahai

Beijing's Shichahai Lake now has a patrol boat to crack down on illegal fishing activities.

The popular tourist spot sees rampant illegal fishing at night.

In the past, offenders could easily escape as officials lacked an efficient and suitable means of apprehending them.

The boat, which cost 80,000 yuan or US$9,600, will also help to guarantee visitors' safety in the daytime.
