Hong Kong to Issue New Edition HK Dollar Notes

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority and three note-issuing banks in the region announced on Sunday Hong Kong is to issue newly designed bank notes on Monday.

The denominations of the notes will be twenty, fifty and one thousand Hong Kong dollars, which will be in the colors of blue, green and golden yellow respectively.

Starting next Monday, the brand new bank notes will be available from the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, the Charter Bank (Hong Kong) Limited and HSBC Limited, as well as their bank branches.

All the bank notes that now circulate in the market will continue to be used as legitimate currencies, along with the new notes.
