Two Tourists Missing in Landslide in Central China

Two tourists were engulfed by a rain-triggered landslide Friday and remained missing in central China's Henan Province, according to local official.

The accident happened at about 4 p.m. when an unexpected downpour trapped ten tourists on a mountain in the Xinmi City, according to Zhao Xinzhong, mayor of Xinmi.

Eight of them were rescued but two others washed away by the torrential landslide were still missing as of 10 p.m., said Zhao.

Searching operation is underway.
