Sightseeing CDs for the Blind

The Shanghai Tourism Administrative Commission yesterday donated 30,000 CDs to the Shanghai Association for the Blind.

The CDs, specially produced for the blind, contain vocal introductions about 14 major scenic spots in Shanghai. The commission hopes that the CDs can help the blind learn more about what these places are like.

The commission said it will also send the CDs to blind people in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces for the upcoming World Tourism Day on September 27, while the counterparts in the two provinces will send similar CDs introducing their places of historical interest to the blind in Shanghai.
