First Electronic Tourist Map Launched

An electronic tourist map was recently launched in east China's Shandong Province. Being the first of such kind in China, the map can help tourists to choose the best way to go to a certain place, to find out the distance between two places and the cab fare needed.

Covering 17 tourist spots in the province, the map provides 4,069 pieces of information covering accommodation, tourist spots, travel agencies, entertainment locations, catering and other public services.

Tourists can search for the location of a certain tourist site on the map, or let the map display the best way between two places, their distance and the cab fare. The map can also show information along the route and on the neighboring area. For some tourist sites, it can show its three-dimension picture.

The website address is http://map.sdta.cn.
