Beijing Security Maintained During Golden Week

Good social order and security was kept in Beijing during the week-long National Day holiday, which ends on October 8th.

The municipal government had taken various measures before and during the holiday to guarantee order and security at big holiday celebration events and at high traffic scenic spots.

Around 3.7 million domestic and foreign tourists traveled to Tian'anmen Square in central Beijing during the 7-day holiday.

Around 800 thousand visits were recorded at the large-scale National Day events.
