No New Bird Flu Cases Reported in Shanghai

No new bird flu cases were found among residents or poultry in Shanghai since a migrant woman was reported to have died from the disease last week, municipal government spokeswoman Jiao Yang said yesterday.

Shanghai will continue to take strict prevention measures including mandatory poultry vaccinations, market sterilization and bird supervision.

It will also tighten quarantine and inspection at eight entrances to prevent the virus from entering the city.
