Mistaken Identity Causes First Flight Kerfuffle

A 60-year-old man almost missed his first flight after he took his daughter-in-law's identity card by mistake to Guangzhou's Baiyun International Airport on Monday, according to Yangcheng Evening News report.

Xu was blocked by security guards when he produced the woman's identity card to board a plane to Qingdao, in Shandong Province.

Xu realized his mistake and phoned his son for help.

Xu's son arrived 40 minutes later with his identity card and the security guards whisked him through a fast-track channel to board the flight.
