Taiwan Island Tour May Hit Kinks

More than 7,000 Guangdong residents have registered to tour Taiwan, even though the island authorities have not officially decided to open its scenic spots to mainland residents.

Many local travel agencies have introduced an eight-day Taiwan Island tour for 8,000 yuan (US$986). The tourist route includes major scenic spots on the island, according to local paper New Express News report.
