Weekly Weather Forecast (August 21 to 27)

Northwest China: During the week, showers will frequent the northern sections. August 21 to 23, northern Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia and northern and western Shaanxi will receive thundershowers or light to moderate rain, while some of southern Shaanxi Province will continue to have high temperatures. August 24 to 26, northern Xinjiang will have another precipitation. August 25 to 27, some of eastern sections will also have showers or thundershowers.

 

North China: August 21 to 23, most of the region will have showers or thundershowers with hot weather expected in some of southern Hebei and southern Shanxi Province. August 24 to 27, northernmost sections will see more showers or thundershowers with sunny and hot weather expected in southern sections.

 

Northeast China: August 21 to 22, easternmost sections will meet thundershowers or light to moderate rain with heavy rainfall in some of southeastern sections, accompanied by possible rainstorms in some places. Northern Heilongjiang will also have showers or thundershowers. August 23 to 24, most of the region will receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers with heavy rain in some areas. August 25 to 27, most sections will have another rainfall from west to east.

 

Central China: August 21 to 24, most of the region will be hot and sultry with highest temperature up to 35 Celsius degrees and even over, but southern Hunan is to get short-time showers. August 25 to 27, the region will continue to be dry and most sections will be under sunny to cloudy skies with high temperatures.

 

East China: August 21, the Shandong Peninsula will meet light to moderate rain or thundershowers with heavy rainfall expected in some places, while southern parts and the coastal areas will experience showers or thundershowers. August 22 to 23, southern parts and northern Jiangsu and Anhui provinces will receive showers, while the remainder parts of the region will be hot and sultry. August 24, most of Shandong Province will have showers or thundershowers. August 24 to 27, southern parts will meet frequent showers or thundershowers, while the coastal areas in Zhejiang will have moderate to heavy rain with storms expected in some places. The remainder parts will be sunny and hot.

 

South China: August 21 to 23, most of the region will have showers or thundershowers, normally being light to moderate with heavy rain possible in some places. August 24 to 27, most parts will continue to meet more showers or thundershowers with heavy to stormy rain expected in the coastal areas and Hainan Island.

 

Southwest China: August 21 to 24, most of Tibet, western Sichuan, Yunnan and western and southern Guizhou will have thundershowers or light to moderate rain with heavy rain in southern Yunnan. Temperatures in eastern Sichuan and Chongqing will continue to rise. August 25 to 27, western areas of the Sichuan Basin, most of Tibet, Yunnan and Guizhou will experience more rains while eastern Sichuan and Chongqing will continue to suffer the drought.
