Weekly Weather Forecast (October 2 to 8)

Northwest China: October 2 to 4, most of the region will be dominated by sunny to cloudy skies while some parts of southern Qinghai and southern Gansu will have showers or light rainfall. Oct.  5 to 6, northern Xinjiang, eastern and southern Gansu and parts of Ningxia will have light rain or showers. The region will be sunny to cloudy over the remaining days.

 

North China: October 2 to 4, northernmost and eastern parts will have showers or light rain while some of northeastern Inner Mongolia will get light sleet or snowfall. Remaining parts will have cloudy to sunny skies. Affected by streams of cold air most of the region will be overcast with light rain from Oct. 6 to 7 while some central and northernmost areas will experience heavy rain or snow. Oct. 6 to 8, most parts will have force 4 to 6 northerly winds and lower temperatures.

 

Northeast China: October 2 to 4, most of the region will have showers or light rainfall with moderate rain or snow in some of northernmost parts; Temperatures will drop. Oct. 6 to 8, affected by cold air most parts will experience light to moderate rain or snowfall with force 5 to 6 northerly winds and low temperatures. Some central, eastern and northernmost parts will have heavy rain or snow.

 

Central China: October 2 to 4, most of the region will be dominated by sunny to cloudy skies with occasional showers in some places. Affected by cold air Oct. 6 to 7 central and northern areas will have light rainfall with moderate rain in some places and temperatures will drop. Oct. 8, the weather will be sunny to cloudy with force 4 to 6 northerly winds in northern areas.

 

East China: During the first half of the week most of the region will be dominated by sunny to cloudy weather while some of Shandong Province will have showers. Oct. 6 to 8, affected by streams of cold air central and northern areas will encounter showers or light rain with moderate rain in some areas of the north accompanied by force 4 to 5 northerly winds and low temperatures.

 

South China: October 2 to 3, southern coastal areas and Hainan Island will have light to moderate rain with heavy rainfall possible in some parts while the remainder of the region will be sunny to cloudy. Oct. 4 to 7, the region will be mainly sunny to cloudy with short showers in some places. Oct. 8, some western and northern parts will have showers.

 

Southwest China: October 2 to 4, central and eastern Tibet, Sichuan, Chongqing, northern Guizhou and most of Yunnan will encounter light to moderate rain. During the latter half of the week eastern Tibet and some eastern parts of the region will continue to be overcast with light rain showers while some areas will see moderate rainfall.
