Mirage Over Seashore in Dalian
On the morning of July 8, many people saw the mirage over the seashore of Dalian and Many people appreciated the marvelous seascape. A reporter from Liaoshen Evening Paper witnessed such a splendid spectacle on the sea.

Yesterday it showered in Dalian and in some places over the sea it fogged. According to an eyewitness, the mirage happened in the sea area, which was quite near by the buildings along the coast. People could see mountains and construction sites such as buildings and towers, and even the colors of the buildings are also visible. The scenery was very splendid and magnificent, and it stayed on for about one hour.

According to the analysis of meteorologists, since it fogged in the coastal areas the mirage appeared when the light was refracted while penetrating through the fog.

As learned such a kind of mirage happened in foggy day in Dalian several years ago. The mirage has no influence on the navigation of ships passing by on the sea. Besides, the weather forecast says it is likely to be damp and rainy today and tomorrow in Dalian.
