Full Preparations for Spring Transportation in Shenyang

The 2004 spring transport to be started on January 7th is scheduled to last 40 days. In Shenyang, full preparations for the spring transport is underway to guarantee a safe and orderly spring transport.

The 2004 spring transport is quite a challenge for the traffic departments. Since the New Year's Day is very close to the Spring Festival, exodus of students, peasant workers, tourists and people for family visits are squeezed into a very short period. In the mean time, cargo transport also faces the high pressure of material supply for the festive market. In a full effort to guarantee a safe and orderly spring transport, in Shenyang, contingency plans have been mapped out in related departments of railway, aviation, public transport, post, tourism, commerce, labor, public security and sanitation.

According to the guidance idea of the traffic-commanding center, this year's spring transport should be human-oriented, passenger transport dominated while taking into account of the cargo transport and be carried safely and in good order. In addition, relevant departments would intensify inspections on overloading.
