China Cooks up Food Encyclopaedia

China has started compiling an Encyclopaedia of Famous Chinese Cuisines, the first of its kind for the country rich in food culture.

The encyclopaedia will have 35 volumes, covering each of China's provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Famous dishes and snacks from across the country will be included in this great cooking guide.

Upon completion, the encyclopaedia will be translated into foreign languages and released worldwide.
