The Sixth China International Folk Art Festival will be held in Huangshan City in east China's Anhui Province during the country's weeklong national day period this year which begins from October 1.

Folk art ensembles from 21 countries are expected to perform in various parts of Huangshan City during the festival.

An official of the festival's organizing committee said the current session is to comprise the largest number of professional ensembles and artists ever hosted by an international art festival in China.

Artists from Anhui Province will stage programs with rich local cultural characteristics to make people around the world have a better understanding of Anhui Culture.
