The passenger flow is expected to hit 120 million in Beijing during the coming May Day holiday.

The subway is considering slowing down the flow of passengers and ticket sales, in an attempt to deal with the potential congestion.

Moreover, the subway company will add provisional trains.

The traffic department has also decided to take measures to carry out traffic administration temporarily from May 1 to 7.

Authorities predict driving is going to skyrocket during the Golden Week, which will cause the flow of traffic to increase.
