China, US launch clean energy research center

China and the United States on Wednesday announced to establish a joint research center on clean energy.

The announcement came after the meeting between Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong and U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Commerce chief Gary Locke, who are making their first visit here since becoming cabinet members of the Obama Administration.
