Long-eared Jerboa found in NW China's Xinjiang

Photo taken on May 13, 2009 shows a long-eared Jerboa at the scenic spot of the Mountain of Flames (Huoyanshan) in Turpan City, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The long-eared Jerboa, a species on the edge of extinction living in desert habitat, is a mouse-like rodent with a long tail, long hind legs, and exceptionally large ears. [Xinhua]
